Over the past two years, Dr. Maziad has participated in developing Surgmatix, an intraoperative surgical
informatics system for monitoring minimally invasive spinal surgery procedures. He also presented the
outcomes of the project at the NIBIB training grantees meeting in June of 2010, Besthesda, MD , RSNA
annual meetings in Chicago and the International Congress of Minimally Invasive Spine Society – IMLAS;
Antalya, Turkey in November of 2010.

Along with his research projects, Dr. Maziad is pursuing an Orthopedic surgery career in USA through
advanced post-graduate surgical training fellowships.
